How to recruit an apprentice

It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3…

"

Step 1

After initial employer contact, a job description should be agreed and the vacancy prepared. When this has been approved, the vacancy is then advertised on the National Apprenticeship Service, Indeed.com, Not Going to Uni and Universal Job Match. Application forms are sent to prospective candidates and all applications are vetted.

"

Step 2

Successful candidates will be asked to complete the 4skills assessment, once completed they will be offered an interview. We will contact the employer after all interviews for feedback and an outcome. If a candidate is successful, they will be informed and given a start date with the employer and an appointment to meet their assigned assessor.

Step 3

Successful candidates are allocated an assessor who will meet the apprentice, within 5 days of starting with the employer, to complete enrolment paperwork. Learning with the assessor will begin on the first meeting. Finally, welfare checks will be made through follow up calls at different stages.
